PREDISURF
PREDIctive digital tool for SURFace treatment industry


PREDISURF aims to increase the transparency of the surface treatment process, estimate material and energy demand, and avoid costly manual operation and analysis. The purpose of the project is to develop and implement a model-based approach based on mass and energy balance in a cyber-physical production system, complemented with an artificial vision package, to improve software for surface treatment lines in the industry. The main project results will be improved software for surface treatment lines in the process industry.
TROY IOT contributes to the PREDISURF project by providing its competence in digital twin, computer vision, and AI applications in the manufacturing industry. In terms of exploitation, TROY IOT plans to leverage its international network to bring the project outputs to market. Overall, TROY IOT’s involvement will bring expertise and a strong focus on innovation and technology advancement to help achieve the goals of the PREDISURF project.
The Consortium is composed of 4 partners from Spain and Turkey. From educational institutions to research and technology organizations and use case providers. The result of the project will be a production process able to amend any process deviation or a faster definition of the production conditions. PREDISURF has two main goals:
- To develop a predictive model of surface treatment lines based on mass and energy balance and integrate it in a virtual environment that always interacts with the physical environment.
- To increase the competitiveness of the surface treatment industry by means of reducing the delivery time and scraps (around 20 %).
