AI Platform For Integrated Sustainable And Circular Manufacturing

Circular TwAIn aims to achieve a reference architecture, a pool of sustainability data, AI and human collaboration, product and process sustainability, an innovation platform, industry applications and an ecosystem of stakeholders by researching, developing, validating, and exploiting a novel AI platform for circular manufacturing value chains. With the use of trustworthy AI techniques and the advantages of seamless data sharing the project will enable the development of interoperable circular twins for end-to-end sustainability.

The Consortium is composed of 21 partners across 10 European countries. From educational institutions to research and technology organizations, recycling management companies, and use case providers. Our interdisciplinary consortium will develop a novel AI platform for circularity aiming to increase the performance, resilience and sustainability of direct manufacturing and process industries.

Circular TwAIn has four main impacts:

  1. Highlighting European industry as a leader in sustainable manufacturing through trustworthy AI technologies,
  2. Promoting end-to-end sustainability in industrial production,
  3. Boosting the agility of European industry and its resiliency to external and internal influences,
  4. Integrating state-of-the-art AI technologies with circular manufacturing and re-manufacturing technologies, exploiting their potential across the entire product’s lifecycle.

In cooperation with industrial use case provider SOCAR, TROY IOT will bring its expertise in developing open digital twin pipeline development architecture to be used as a baseline platform to acquire data from various IoT devices, sensors, PLCs, DCSs, MES and therefore contribute to the development of a Hybrid Circular Twin (HCT) for process industry that will be verified in PETKIM Use Case Pilot.
